If Russia and Ukraine do not reach an agreement soon, we will not waste more time

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said today, Sunday, that a peace agreement should be reached between Russia and Ukraine soon, and that Washington is trying to determine the feasibility of its continuation of mediation.

“We cannot continue to allocate time and resources for this effort if he is not successful,” Rubio added in statements to NBC.

He continued by saying: “(We tried during) last week to determine the extent of the real rapprochement between the two parties, and are they close enough to take time to mediate.”

Rubio has not specified the period in which President Donald Trump’s administration wanted to make progress.
