Türkiye’s exports of citrus fruits exceeding 433 million dollars in the first quarter


Türkiye has made revenues of 433 million and 75 thousand dollars of citrus exports in the first quarter of this year.

According to the data of the Turkish “Exporters in the Mediterranean region”, 565,529 tons of citrus fruits were exported abroad from January to March 2025.

The sector, which achieved 429 million dollars in external sales in the first quarter of last year, increased its exports to 433 million and 75 thousand dollars in the same period this year.

Russia came at the top of the importing countries by 143 million and 460 thousand dollars, followed by Iraq with 98 million and 725 thousand dollars, then Ukraine with 37 million and 696 thousand dollars.

The Vice -President of the National Citrus Council, Kamal Kagmaz, told Anatolia that citrus fruits have made a great contribution to the country’s economy in the first quarter of this year.

He added that through medium and long -term plans, they will be able to raise their citrus exports to better levels. (Anatolia)
