Did the war come close to you? An Israeli newspaper speaks

The Israeli newspaper “Jerusalem Post” published a new report in which it spoke about the prospects for negotiations between Iran and America.

In the report translated by “Lebanon 24”, the newspaper said that “against the backdrop of global complexity, the Iranian economy is suffering under sanctions, while instability intensifies all over the world due to the escalation of the commercial wars that Washington launches with China, Europe and other countries.”
He stated that Iran faces unbridled inflation, a collapse in the local currency, a rise in unemployment, and a large -scale confidence among the general public.
And he added: “Despite European efforts to save economic relations with Tehran, the concrete benefits remained minimal, which left Iran facing internal and external pressures on its own to a large extent. Last month, US Treasury Secretary, Scott Besent, threatened that America will cause the Iranian economy to collapse and eliminate its oil industry.”
According to the report, Besent’s statements, which were reported by CNBC channel, confirmed and made during an economic conference in New York, confirmed the United States’s goal of reducing Iranian oil exports, which currently amounts to 1.5 million barrels per day, adding that “the American administration aims to separate Tehran from the international financial system.”
Also, the US Treasury also imposed sanctions last month on an international network accused of transporting oil from Iran to China. In this reality, communication with Washington becomes a strategic tool, and from Iran’s point of view, entering into talks without prior alleviating the sanctions. As for President Donald Trump, direct dialogue will be considered a diplomatic victory, according to the report.
Also, “Jerusalem” notes that “from the point of view of Israel, the goal is to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons and stopping its military concentration in Syria and Lebanon.” He added: “Jerusalem fears that direct talks between Washington and Tehran will lead to a partial agreement that relieves pressure on Iran without dismantling its entire nuclear program. Likewise, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has long led for a period of opposition to the original nuclear agreement, seeks to practice The maximum pressure on Iran and avoiding previous concessions are premature. At the same time, the United States has wider international interests, and that Israel may not be able to influence all the details of the negotiations.
He continued: “In their last meeting, Trump and Netanyahu presented a unified front on Iran. But behind the scenes, the differences still exist. Trump may agree, seeking a diplomatic achievement, on a deal that Israel opposes. On the other hand, Netanyahu will find it difficult to step aside if Iran retains any nuclear capabilities.”
Trump has always stated that the diplomatic solution is the best choice for Iran’s nuclear aspirations. In his speech to win the night of the American elections, he said, “I will not ignite wars, but rather to end it,” a message that seemed clear in Israel and Tehran.
However, with the increasing urgency in both Israel and the United States over the progress made by Iran in its nuclear program, Trump has made his threats, pledging that if Iran refuses to reach an agreement, it will face strikes “have not seen like it before.”
Also, Trump explicitly referred to a joint American -Israeli blow, and his threats to mobilize American forces in the region, including the deployment of strategic bombers and ghost launchers.
Despite their explicit alliance, Israel must prepare for the possibility of it forced to move alone to protect its security, as the choice of the military confrontation is always proposed, especially when economic pressure fails to achieve political results, according to the report.
The newspaper considered that “if negotiations fail or stumbling, and if any of the two parties believe that the other party has violated the rules, the possibility of conflict will increase significantly, and she added:“ For its part, Israel continues to prepare for a direct confrontation or proxy, especially through Hezbollah or Shiite groups in Syria. ”
The report also saw that “Iran does not stand idly by, but rather transmits long -range missiles to Iraq capable of reaching Europe, sending a clear message to both the United States and Israel,” and continued: “Iran has not abandoned its ambitions in possessing nuclear weapons, and with its repeated calls to destroy the Zionist entity, the world must wake up and apply harsh sanctions to this country.”
