Salam: The state is the authority authorized to possess weapons

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam praised the professional work carried out by the Lebanese army in the south, especially the Intelligence Directorate, which succeeded in carrying out a pre -emptive process in which it foiled the preparation for the operation to launch missiles from the south, in addition to the arrest of a number of people involved in this process.

President Salam also notes the work of all the security services that are carrying out their duty to preserve security and stability on all Lebanese lands. It calls on it the continuation of all efforts to prevent any absurd operations by focusing on pre -emptive security to thwart suspicious plans that seek to implicate Lebanon with more wars.

In this context, President Salam confirms that the work carried out by the army and other security services is only an affirmation that the government is continuing to implement what was stated in its ministerial statement in terms of extending its full sovereignty on its territory with its own forces, and that the Lebanese state alone is the owner of the war and peace decision, and it is the authority authorized to possess weapons.
