Egypt announces the stop attacks on ships in the Red Sea


Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly confirmed during his meeting with foreign ambassadors that the attacks on ships in the Red Sea have stopped since last December.

Madbouly pointed to the improvement of the security situation in the Red Sea during the past months, as the attacks on ships have stopped since last December, calling on the ambassadors to transfer this positive image of their countries and work to encourage the return of the shipping movement through the channel.

The Prime Minister reviewed the development efforts that the channel witnessed in recent years, especially the project of duplicating the navigation, stressing that the recent regional developments once again emphasized the strategic importance of the channel and its direct impact on the global trade movement.

The Prime Minister also called on foreign diplomats to urge their country’s companies to invest in the economic zone of the Suez Canal, reviewing the benefits and incentives that Egypt offers to investors in this strategic region. (Russia today)
