The World Cup champion suffers from severe bone deformation


Italian Gianluca Zambrotta, 2006 World Cup champion with Italy, has revealed that he suffers from bone deformation, which will require surgery.
Zambrotta suffers from severe bone deformation known as “Genu Varum”, and it causes the legs to be curved out at the knees.
Although Zambrotta avoided serious injuries in his career, since his retirement from playing in 2014 he faced problems caused by the diagnosis of his “curved legs”.
The 48 -year -old announced that he will undergo surgery to address the problem, after doctors were shocked by his ability to walk, stressing that he would need to eradicate his feet.
“I will soon undergo surgery in both knees, I am surprised by the doctors, I visited 3 or 4 of the most prominent surgeons in the country, and everyone wondered how I can walk in this way and these two knees, or how I can practice physical activities such as the pair,” said the 2006 World Cup champion with Italy.
He continued, “I will have to make bone pieces, they will evaluate my legs by removing small pieces of bone from the top and bottom, and placing sheets to avoid the need to install a full artificial tip now.”
