NASA monitors a hole on Mars: a possible gate to caves!

NASA published a remarkable picture showing a hole or a mysterious tunnel on the surface of Mars, which raised many questions about its nature and causes of its emergence.

The Agency’s “Astronomical Photo” account posed a remarkable question: “What created this extraordinary hole in Mars?”, Noting that the image reveals a number of drilling in terrain similar to “Swiss cheese”, where most of them cover the partially evaporated carbon dioxide, with the exception of one different.

According to the comment, the most strange hole is located in the right upper corner, and its diameter is about 100 meters, and it appears to lead to a lower level of the surface of the planet. The reason for its appearance and the circular shape surrounding it is still a discussion, although the most likely theory indicates that it resulted from the collision of Nizki.

The account believed that such pits acquire a great scientific importance, as it is likely to form entrances to wide caves under the surface, which are environments that can be relatively protected from the harsh conditions on the surface of Mars, which makes them promising sites to search for indications of life.

The comment concluded by noting that these pits are major goals for future missions, whether robotic or inhabited, in the context of exploring external planets.
