The war continues .. Brussels target technology giants in America

UNHCR, UNHELA, UNCOLA von der Line, said in an interview with the British Financial Times, that she is considering imposing customs duties on giant American technology companies such as Meta or Google.

The United States and the European Union have suspended tax increases on planned imports to allow negotiations, but Brussels is preparing for the possibility of diplomatic efforts to resolve the trade conflict ignited by the Trump administration.

Von der Line told the newspaper that if the negotiations are not ahead with a disease, there is a wide range of counter -measures available to the European Union.

“For example, you can impose a tax on the revenues of the DVA,” Von der Line was quoted as saying.

Von der Line announced yesterday, Thursday, that the European Union will suspend the imposition of reprisal customs duties on US imports for 90 days in response to a similar step announced by the United States.

“If the negotiations are not satisfactory, we will activate our counter -measures,” Von der Line added.

“The preparatory work to take additional counter measures is still going on. As I said earlier, all options are still on the table,” said von der Line. (Sky News)
