Israel’s commitment to the ceasefire provides the required stability


The Vice -President of the House of Representatives, Elias Bou Saab, received at his home in Rabieh, a member of the sub -committee to allocate foreign credits in the US Senate Paul Group, accompanied by the American Ambassador to Lebanon, Lisa Johnson, and an accompanying delegation.

The meeting included a discussion of the reform issue and the steps required to achieve the necessary reforms and legislation in preparation for restoring confidence in Lebanon.

The meeting stressed the necessity of “taking the opportunity available today to achieve Lebanon’s stability and recovery.”

In this context, Bou Saab stressed, “It is necessary to adhere to the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel and stop Israeli daily attacks, because this secures the required stability and facilitating the reform process.” He reaffirmed the “parliament’s commitment to discuss and approve the required reform laws”, pointing out that “he heard these words from the head of the council who referred the laws to the joint committees”, wishing “their approval as soon as possible.” (National Agency)
