Vans: There is a gap between Russia and Ukraine

US Vice President GD Verse announced that there is a gap between Russia and Ukraine in their positions on settling the Ukrainian crisis, stressing that the current efforts aim to bring the positions between Moscow and Kiev.

“There is a huge gap between what the Russians want and what the Ukrainians want despite the statements about preparing for peace,” Vans said in an interview with Fox News.

He explained that “diplomatic efforts are currently aimed at bringing the declared positions between Moscow and Kiev, and that the first step to end the war is to receive peace proposals from both sides,” noting that the United States intends during the next hundred days to work actively to start direct negotiations.
