The President of the Lebanese Republic, General Joseph Aoun, concluded his visit to the United Arab Emirates, in which he held discussions with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and senior Emirati officials. President Aoun visited the Sheikh Zayed Mosque yesterday, the prominent religious teacher in the Emirates, which is one of the largest mosques and mosques in the world.

At the end of the visit, the UAE and Lebanon issued a joint statement referring to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and President Joseph Aoun talks “during which they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to develop them in all fields.”

For his part, the Lebanese President expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the President of the Emirates for the “good feelings of Lebanon and its people”, stressing his keenness to continue to consolidate bilateral relations during the next stage, appreciating the positions of the UAE supporting Lebanon and its people at all levels.

The statement said: «The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them in various fields, and develop economic and investment aspects by benefiting from available opportunities, developing exchanging experiences, and developing areas of government work, as the knowledge exchange office in the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs will visit Beirut to inform the Lebanese side of the successful experiences of the UAE in the field of government performance development, and developing performance practices and institutional excellence in a way that enhances the two sectors General and private, and achieve the interests of the two brotherly countries. ”

The two sides agreed, “to allow citizens to travel after taking the necessary measures to facilitate the movement of movement between the two countries and to develop the appropriate mechanisms for that.”

And expressed their “aspiring to raise the level of mutual diplomatic representation. The discussions also included the agreement to establish an Emirati -Lebanese business council, and the Abu Dhabi Development Fund sent a delegation to Lebanon to discuss and evaluate the available joint cooperation projects.

The two leaders discussed “the developments of the regional situation and their repercussions on Arab -Arab relations, security and regional stability.”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reviewed President Aoun on the developments of the situation on the Lebanese scene, and he also reviewed with him the overall regional and international conditions, as he stressed the strategic Arab depth of Lebanon, stressing that brotherly Lebanon is one of the pillars of joint Arab action.
