Exceptional security measures during the municipal elections

The Army Command – the Directorate of Guidance announced, in a statement, “on the occasion of the first phase of the municipal and optional council elections on Sunday, 5/5/2025 within the scope of Mount Lebanon Governorate. The widespread military units began taking exceptional security measures that include the establishment of circumstantial barriers and the conduct of patrols with the aim of maintaining security and stability during the electoral process and preventing problems.

The army leadership called on citizens to respond to these measures to preserve their security and safety, and to enable them to express their opinions in the polls, within an atmosphere of freedom and democracy. It also invites them to inform the nearest military center of any attempt to disturb security, or contact the driving room at 117 ″.
