A standard fine on Tek Tok due to the violation of the privacy of European users!

The Irish Data Protection Commission imposed a huge financial fine on the Tik -Tok platform worth 530 million euros (601 million dollars), after it turned out that it had violated the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in the European Union, especially with regard to the exchange of personal data for the platform users with China.

UNHCR explained that Tech Talk failed to ensure a protection level equivalent to European standards when participating user data with the company’s employees in China, as well as a lack of transparency on processing mechanisms.

The Irish Authority plays a fundamental role in monitoring the privacy file for Tick -Tok in Europe, given the presence of the European headquarters of the company in Dublin.

In a statement carried by the Associated Press, Graham Doyle, Vice President of the Commission, said: “Tech Talk has not provided clear evidence or sufficient guarantees that the personal data of European users viewed by China has a suitable level of protection.”

Although Tech Talk confirmed that he does not store the data of European users in China, last April confessed to this matter on a limited scale, prompting the Commission to make its decision.

The penalty stipulates that the financial fine stipulates that data processing mechanisms must be modified within six months, in line with European standards.

Tek Talk expressed her rejection of the decision, confirming her intention to appeal it legally.
