The battle of traditional regulations and civil society

Tears of Al -Asmar wrote in “Al -Diyar”: The municipal electoral scene in Tripoli did not crystallize, and the fog still prevails in its atmosphere pending the end of the scene within a few days, after the nomination door closed.

But it seems that the movement of the Tripoli deputies is active towards more than one option to head the municipality, and their eyes were erected by a head that enjoys political consensus, and a harmonious homogeneous municipal council, so that there are no differences in the previous councils that led to pitfalls, reflected on the municipal performance in the city, and caused a development and services in it.

Several names are presented and discussed between the deputies, Faisal Karami, Ashraf Rifi, Karim Kabbara, and Ihab Matar, to reach a consensus on the name of a candidate that achieves the consensus around him. At a time when President Naguib Mikati distances the municipal entitlement, while those close to him suggest that his interest is focused on the elections of the chosen in the popular neighborhoods.
As for the “Future Movement”, and despite its president’s decision to refrain from this entitlement, his environment is studying options between the expected regulations, to pour its voices in the list closest to its political air.
According to the familiarity of the Trabelsi municipal electoral file, there is a belief that an agreement may take place between the two deputies, Faisal Karami and Taha Naji, to support a list close to them, and this agreement would tend the rudder, given the size of the “Al -Ahbash” electoral association in the city.
Until the moment, the regulations or the names of the 24 members are not resolved as a candidate for the municipal council, and in the coming hours the battle temperature will rise.
It is worth noting that the number of voters in Tripoli, according to the deletion regulations, is 265,121 voters.
