The start of the third round of Iran and the United States talks

It started in Muscat, the third round of talks at the level of experts between Iran and the United States on Tehran’s nuclear program, which is witnessing rapid progress, according to Iranian official television.

The talks aim to reduce the Iranian nuclear program in exchange for lifting some strict economic sanctions imposed by the United States on Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqji and the American special envoy Steve Witkev will meet in the Omani capital.

Official Iranian media reported that the third round of Iranian -American nuclear talks in the Sultanate of Oman “may extend if necessary.”

The official Iranian “IRNA” news agency reported that “this round of negotiations, such as the previous two rounds, will continue, however, and given that the negotiations will focus on technical issues related to experts and examining details, it is possible to extend if necessary.”

After the second round of negotiations in Rome at the end of last week, the two sides agreed to continue the talks.
