The President of the World Bank appeals to developing countries to reduce customs duties

The President of the World Bank, Ajay Banga, appealed to developing countries today, Wednesday, to liberalize trade, saying that many of these countries impose higher customs fees than those imposed by advanced economies, and that reducing them may limit the possibilities of imposing counter -taxes on imports.

Panga told reporters that the business and economy climate is now in a state of caution in which the global fog, which has raised it in recent months, contributes to the American customs duties and the counter -procedures announced by China and other countries.

He added that the influence will differ from one country to another, but the current expectations indicate a slowdown in global growth from what was indicated by the expectations issued several months ago, and did not address specific expectations, according to “Reuters”.
