Trump Egypt to threaten Iran

US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that Iran must give up seeking a nuclear weapon, otherwise it will face harsh consequences that may include a military strike against its nuclear facilities.

When Trump was asked whether the potential response could include strikes to Iranian nuclear facilities, he replied, “Certainly.”

On Saturday, the two countries held talks described as “constructive” on the Iranian nuclear program, and they agreed to hold a new meeting.

Iran announced, on Sunday, that the upcoming talks will remain “indirect”, and will focus exclusively on the nuclear file and the lifting of sanctions.

The Iranian delegation was headed by Foreign Minister Abbas Arakji, a experienced diplomat and one of the Iranian nuclear agreement engineers in 2015, while the envoy of US President Donald Trump Steve Witkev, a real estate pole, led the American delegation.

The two men met face to face for a short time.
