Before the holidays.. How are the reservations to Lebanon?

A few days before the Christian communities that follow the Western calendar celebrate Easter, and with Eid al-Fitr approaching, the head of the Syndicate of Travel and Tourism Office Owners, Jean Abboud, announced that “the movement of flight reservations during the holiday period is active,” noting that “the recorded numbers show that this movement is for a period of time.” one month”.

Abboud expected that “the pace of reservations will gradually increase until Eid al-Fitr,” and pointed out that “the solvency index of airlines coming from all countries to Beirut is about 90 percent, with expectations that it will rise as Eid al-Fitr approaches.”
In this context, Haitham Fawaz, the owner of a travel agency, said via “Lebanon 24” that it is normal for us to witness, during this period, a movement of reservations for Lebanese residing in the countries of expansion, especially in the Gulf, some of whom decided to celebrate the holidays with their families in Lebanon,” noting that “ Many of them canceled or postponed their reservations until the summer due to the escalation taking place in the south and the expansion of the Israeli strikes that reached the Bekaa Valley, so they preferred to wait and wait to see how things would turn out.”
However, he stressed that “there are no indications of reservations from foreign tourists during the holiday period,” and said: “Tourism is almost non-existent, and there are only a small percentage of hotel reservations, and the majority of them are Iraqi tourists who come to Lebanon for the purpose of medical care.”
He hoped that “things will improve before the beginning of the summer, in the hope that the tourism sector will regain its breath after the great losses it has suffered since October 7.”
