No TikTok in Iraq soon

Iraqi Minister of Communications, Hiyam Al-Yasiri, submitted a request to the Council of Ministers to block the “Tik Tok” application in the country.

Al-Yasiri revealed during a press conference that “Iraq was removed from the list of countries with the highest visits and viewing of pornographic sites,” stressing “the necessity of the cooperation of the people’s representatives in the House of Representatives in blocking these applications.”

It is noteworthy that, on March 14, the Federal Supreme Court issued a decision regarding blocking websites, Internet networks, social media, and electronic communication applications that include the production and publication of clips that violate morals and ethics, and degrading content that offends modesty.
