UNRWA takes punitive measures against employees for “violations”

Dozens of Palestinians in Lebanon protested in front of the UNRWA regional office in Beirut, rejecting its decision to suspend a number of employees from work due to possible violations of the employee code of conduct.

UNRWA said in a statement that “Teacher Fathi Al-Sharif, director of Deir Yassin Secondary School in Al-Bass camp in Tyre, southern Lebanon, received a three-month leave without pay while the UN agency investigates alleged activities that “represent a violation of the agency’s regulatory framework that governs employee behavior.”

«Over these areas… Israeli reconnaissance aircraft are flying heavily!
