In a message of condolence to Putin, Kim condemns the Crocus terrorist attack

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sent a message of condolence to Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the terrorist attack on the Crocus Center on the outskirts of Moscow, stressing his solidarity with the Russian people.

Pyongyang’s Central News Agency said that Kim expressed in his letter his “deep condolences and sympathy” to Putin, the Russian people, and the families of those killed and wounded in the attack.

Kim stressed the North Korean government’s firm position in opposing all forms of terrorism, expressing his confidence that Russia “will be able to restore its stability and security as soon as possible.”

He said: “Nothing can justify heinous terrorism that threatens human life. Our people regard the grief and suffering of the friendly Russian people as their pain and express their strong support and solidarity with your efforts aimed at strengthening unity and social and political stability, as well as protecting the country’s security and sovereign rights.”

On Friday evening, four heavily armed men attacked the Crocus City Hall shopping center on the outskirts of Moscow, opened fire on civilians there, and set fire to the center, killing and wounding hundreds.

The Russian Federal Security Service reported on Saturday that 11 people had been arrested in connection with the “Crocus” attack, including 4 terrorists who directly participated in the attack. (RT)
