A local alternative to Hamas must be found

On Tuesday, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stressed with American officials the importance of American-Israeli relations and maintaining Israel’s qualitative military superiority in the region, including its air capabilities.

Gallant pointed out that a “local alternative” must be found to govern Gaza after the defeat of Hamas.

According to the Defense Minister, he also discussed with US officials the issue of hostages being held in Gaza, humanitarian aid efforts, and how Israel plans to eliminate Hamas.
