Protecting Palestinians is a moral and strategic necessity

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stressed today, Tuesday, that protecting Palestinian civilians from harm is a moral and strategic necessity, describing the situation in Gaza as a “humanitarian catastrophe.”

This came at the beginning of his meeting with his Israeli counterpart, Yoav Gallant, at the headquarters of the US Department of Defense.
