After previously using its veto, China supports the new draft resolution on the ceasefire in Gaza


According to media reports, China announced its support for the new draft resolution that will be presented today, Monday, in the UN Security Council regarding the “ceasefire in Gaza.”

Agence France-Presse said on Monday, “Beijing announces its ‘support’ for the new draft resolution on a ceasefire in Gaza.”

China had used its veto against a draft American ceasefire resolution in Gaza, noting that through preconditions set by a draft American resolution for a ceasefire in Gaza, this draft essentially allows the continuation of killing, which is “unacceptable.”
