Musk unveils brain chips that restore sight to blind people

In a new development for his company Neuralink, Elon Musk claimed that the company would help blind people regain their sight, and this technology has actually been tested on blind monkeys, enabling them to regain their sight.

In a post on the While responding to users, Musk announced the official name of the project, “Blindsight.”

He claimed the technology would be good at first, “like early Nintendo graphics” from the 8-bit video game era of the 1980s, but he hoped it would eventually surpass normal human vision.

Neuralink, founded by billionaire Musk and a group of engineers in 2016, aims to improve the quality of life of people suffering from diseases such as paralysis and blindness, by implanting microchips in the brain. (Euronews)
