The latest Israeli surprise about Hezbollah… Has the war been cancelled?

The Israeli newspaper “Maariv” published a new report in which it talked about the current battle in Gaza between the “Hamas” movement and Israel, touching on the principle of unity of arenas that exists between Iran’s allies in the region.

The newspaper said in its translated report: “Lebanon 24” The events of the “Keeper of the Walls” battle in Gaza during the month of May 2021, which the “Hamas” movement called the “Sword of Jerusalem,” were a test conducted by “Hamas” of the “unity of the battlements” strategy, before its current battle, which began on October 7 last. .

The report indicated that the result of the test was “satisfactory to Hamas,” and the strategy proved itself, especially after the fuse of tension exploded during the events that took place on the Temple Mount, and it spread to other squares inside Palestine. Rockets were fired from Gaza while riots occurred in East Jerusalem, in addition to the tension. Within the mixed cities of Arab citizens in Israel.

In this context, Professor Kobi Michael, a senior researcher at the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies, believes that what happened was not spontaneous, pointing out that “Hamas” had been preparing for that option that occurred in 2021 since at least 2018, as the strategy was based on There has been a deep penetration of “Hamas” and its members into various regions inside Israel, in addition to the deepening of its cooperation with “Hezbollah” and Iran.

The report points out that if the “Saif al-Quds” battle was a limited test of the principle of “unity of arenas,” then the October 7 attack is supposed to be the “real title” for translating that principle on the ground and actually.

The report continues: “In Hamas’s language, October 7 was supposed to be the day of judgment for Israel, that is, the day of the decisive battle from which Zionism would not be able to recover. The invasion from Gaza was supposed to drag behind it all other arenas, including Hezbollah’s invasion from the north.”

The report explained that the matter did not necessarily stop with Hezbollah, noting that Iran not only provided its proxy forces with money, equipment, intelligence, combat doctrine, and training camps, but it went further than that. Here, Israeli researcher Michael says, “The concept of multiple arenas itself is supported by a kind of Iranian insurance policy, and depending on the need, Iran was supposed to activate the entire ring of fire around Israel.”

The report pointed out that “this matter was the focus of the work of the leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, who America eliminated in 2020 with an air strike,” and added: “Soleimani worked to implement Iran’s plan to besiege Israel with its proxy forces: Hezbollah in northern Israel, armed groups.” belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Syria and Iraq, and the Houthi forces in Yemen – southern Israel.”

Michael points out that the leader of the Hamas movement in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, had hoped that Hezbollah would join the battle that Hamas waged early on October 7, but that did not happen. He continued: “Fortunately, the doomsday scenario This did not happen on October 7, but anyone who looks at the events with a sober eye realizes that the relative success achieved by Hamas on that terrible morning will only increase the appetite of our enemies, and strengthen their minds, because when the outer ring of fire is activated, the strike may be decisive.”

Michael warned against the plan to “end Israel” through the principle of unity of areas, considering that this matter constitutes an existential threat and will only increase when Iran completes its nuclear project.

We are heading towards more than one war

According to Michael, to deal with the existing danger, it is likely that Israel is heading towards more than one war, explaining that the next war with Hezbollah may come in the not-so-distant future. He said: “Basically, we cannot return the settlers to the northern region bordering Lebanon.” As long as Hezbollah remains on our borders, even if its front lines temporarily withdraw one distance or another from the border.”

He continued: “Time is not working on our side. Hezbollah is gaining strength, improving, and obtaining more advanced and accurate missiles. Even after we are able to return the settlers, we cannot avoid working in other sectors as well, where Tehran is present with its proxy forces.”

Michael stressed the need for Israel to establish an offensive security concept, and said: “We must return to a large ground army, with massive armor and effective artillery capable of fighting battles on several fronts at the same time.”
