Zelensky expands the list of sanctions against Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree expanding the list of sanctions imposed on companies and individuals from Russia.

Zelensky imposed sanctions on seven individuals, including citizens of Ukraine, Russia, Romania and Israel, as well as against 86 enterprises from Russia, most of them industrial enterprises.

The sanctions were imposed for a period of three to ten years, and these sanctions provide for freezing assets, restricting business operations (and their complete cessation), preventing the withdrawal of capital outside Ukraine, prohibiting the transfer of technology and intellectual property rights, as well as stopping the fulfillment of economic and financial obligations.

It is noteworthy that last July, Zelensky signed a decree imposing sanctions on 193 people, most of whom hold Russian citizenship, as well as against 291 companies from Russia and other countries.
