A tense call.. Biden rebukes Netanyahu

The White House announced that US President Joe Biden spoke by phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday, amid growing discontent over the Israeli bombing that killed seven aid workers in Gaza.

The White House statement said that Biden assured Netanyahu that “the attack on humanitarian workers and the humanitarian situation in general is unacceptable.”

He added that Biden made clear the need for Israel to “announce and implement a series of specific, concrete, and measurable steps to address civilian harm, human suffering, and the safety of aid workers.”

Biden informed Netanyahu that US policy would be linked to Israel taking “immediate action” regarding civilians in Gaza.

An official source told a Sky News Arabia reporter that the call was tense and tense.

Biden urged the Israeli Prime Minister to reach an “immediate ceasefire” in Gaza.

Before the call, the White House said that Biden felt anger and pain over the attack, but the US President did not make a fundamental change in Washington’s steadfast support for Israel in its conflict in the Gaza Strip.

Reuters quoted famous chef Jose Andres on Wednesday as saying that the Israeli attack that killed seven food aid workers in Gaza targeted them “systematically, one vehicle after another.”
