Aramco awards contracts worth $7.7 billion


Today, Saudi Aramco awarded engineering, procurement and construction contracts worth $7.7 billion to implement a major expansion of the Al-Fadhili gas plant in the Eastern Province.

The project is scheduled to increase the plant’s gas processing capacity from 2.5 to about 4 billion standard cubic feet per day..

The additional processing capacity, amounting to 1.5 billion standard cubic feet per day, is expected to contribute to the company’s strategy to raise gas production by more than 60% by 2030, compared to 2021 levels..

It is expected that the expansion of the Al-Fadhili gas plant will add an additional 2,300 metric tons per day to sulfur production, and will be completed by February 2027..

Saudi Aramco awarded engineering, procurement and construction contracts for the project to increase production capacity at the Al-Fadhili gas plant to: Samsung Engineering Company, GS Engineering and Construction Company, and Nesma Company and its partners.
