Information reported that a powerful explosion rocked central Damascus on Monday, near the Mezzeh Highway, where it was learned that an air strike targeted the Iranian embassy and the residence of the Iranian ambassador in Damascus, according to Reuters.

Al-Hadath Channel indicated that preliminary information indicates an assassination operation that targeted advisors or leaders in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

In turn, the Syrian Observatory announced that 6 casualties were reported as a result of the Israeli raid.
