On Thursday.. What will happen in front of the Bank of Lebanon?
The people of the border villages of the “Union of Depositors in Lebanese Banks” directed to “all depositors, people from the areas of confrontation with the enemy, to raise the voice of truth in front of the Bank of Lebanon building in Beirut, at eleven o’clock before noon next Thursday.”
They added: “You will not expect the state, which is bankrupt and incapable of providing funding sources for compensation, to provide us with more than a subsistence carton, and the false, evasive, and procrastinating promises of compensation… All the damage and material losses we have been exposed to and the interruption of interests, especially in our villages and border towns, It is a badge of honor on our chests. We, the depositors, have all the capabilities to repair the damage and continue to withstand, relying on our money seized in the banks, which we must all work to recover. We will not expect a favor or honor from anyone, neither from the state nor from any party. With our money, we will preserve our steadfastness and dignity. From this standpoint, and to preserve our dignity and to be able to provide what is necessary to repair the damage and strengthen steadfastness, we invite all of you to participate in the peaceful democratic movement, in front of the Central Bank next Thursday.”
