The Amal Movement’s speech was delivered by MP Ali Khreis, saluting the martyrs “who did not leave their land and were steadfast in it and believed in their cause, and steadfast despite the repeated Israeli threats on the border and southern towns.” He said: “These were martyred in the month of forgiveness and piety and the month of returning to God, and they are the ones who They learned from the school of the Imam, the leader, Mr. Musa al-Sadr, that Israel is absolute evil and dealing with it is forbidden, and they learned the meaning of giving, sacrifice, and jihad. Is there a jihad too great to fall on your land despite the repeated Israeli threats?

He added: “This is our destiny to stand firm and defend our land in the face of the brutal enemy who wants nothing but weakness, retreat, humiliation and surrender for our homeland. They have forgotten that we learned from the school of Imam Hussein, which gave us strength, immunity and patience, and we learned from the school of Imam al-Sadr that we should remain in our land and not leave it no matter what.” The sacrifices were great. We offered many martyrs to liberate the land, and thanks to our steadfastness, resistance and sacrifices, we were able to expel the enemy from our land without returning or seeking the help of anyone from the United Nations or major powers. We cannot break or retreat, and we will be on the lookout for all Israeli attacks on our land. If one day he thinks about occupying our land, we will definitely confront him.”

He added: “We say to all the Lebanese people and all our partners that Israel is an enemy of all of Lebanon and not just of a specific group, region, or place, and we call on everyone to unite because the strength of Lebanon is in its unity and Israel is the first enemy to all of us, and this enemy only wants division and distance from each other. If we want to confront it, we must come together and feel the seriousness of the threats to our land and our people, and this is the voice of the resistance, the martyrs, and the voice of Imam al-Sadr.”

He concluded: “What is happening today in occupied Palestine, specifically in Gaza, in terms of massacres committed by the Israeli enemy against all of humanity, is the result of the international community that is completely absent from these massacres.”
