To allow food convoys to enter northern Gaza
The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, urged Israel to allow the organization’s food convoys to enter northern Gaza, and to open additional land crossings to facilitate the delivery of aid.
He also called on “the countries of the world to increase pressure to implement the International Court of Justice’s order for Israel to take all necessary measures to ensure that basic aid reaches the residents of the Gaza Strip.”
Lazarney appealed to these countries to reconsider their decisions regarding funding the agency, stressing the urgent need to take measures, which he described as bold, to prevent famine in Gaza.
