The death toll of Israeli soldiers rose to 598

Israel announced the killing of an officer and the wounding of 16 soldiers and officers in the battles taking place in the southern Gaza Strip.

The army explained that the dead soldier was with another group of soldiers from the Egoz unit, on a mission near Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, and that he was killed when Hamas members fired an RPG missile at the building they were in.

Thus, the death toll of the Israeli army since the beginning of the war on October 7th rose to 598 dead, including officers and soldiers.
